Jones to represent Andalusia Utilities Board on PowerSouth Board of Trustees

ANDALUSIA, ALA. – Richard Jones has been elected to represent the Andalusia Utilities Board on the PowerSouth Board of Trustees. Jones’ appointment to the board was approved at PowerSouth’s Nov. 21 board meeting.

Jones will replace Don Cotton on the Engineering and Operations committee.

Jones is the Vice President of Andalusia Distributing Co., Inc. and serves on the Prepaid Affordable College Tuition Board, where he has been Vice-Chairman for the past five years. He also served 15 years on the Covington County Economic Development Commission.

Jones also served on the Andalusia Water Board for 19 years and the Andalusia Utilities Board for six years, where he served as Chairman for the last four years.

Jones is a member of First United Methodist Church of Andalusia. He and his wife, Nancy, have two children, Christopher and Whitney.
