ANDALUSIA, ALA. — PowerSouth Energy Cooperative has lifted its high water notification alert at its Point A hydroelectric plant.
As of 6 a.m. today, tailwater readings were 6.84 feet at Gantt Hydro and 20.59 feet at Point A Hydro. Tailwater flow is the hourly average of the river flow just downstream of the hydro plants, measured in cubic feet per second. PowerSouth has 7 feet of gate open at the Gantt Hydro and 24 feet of gate open at the Point A Hydro.
