JONES TO REPRESENT ANDALUSIA UTILITIES ON POWERSOUTH BOARD


Richard (Ricky) Jones of Andalusia, Ala., has been elected to represent the Andalusia Utilities Board on the PowerSouth Board of Trustees. Jones’ appointment was approved at PowerSouth’s Jan. 28 board meeting.

Jones, who is the Vice President of Andalusia Distributing Company, served on the Andalusia Water Board for 19 years and on the Andalusia Utilities Board for six years, serving as Chairman for the last four years.

He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Finance from Troy University in 1974. He has served nine years on the Prepaid Affordable College Tuition Board, serving as Vice-Chairman for the last five years. He also served 15 years on the Covington County Economic Development Commission and is the past Chairman of the American Wholesale Marketers Association.

He and his wife, Nancy, are members of First United Methodist Church of Andalusia. They have been married 35 years and have two sons, Christopher and Whitney.
