RIVER LEVELS
PowerSouth is required to maintain lake levels within a one-foot range, which is measured at the dams. Simply put, the water that flows into the lakes from the Conecuh River and Patsiliga Creek is allowed to pass through the dams. This means that lake and river levels may fluctuate with river flow – please bear in mind that seasonally dry or wet weather often impacts the natural flow of the river.
Because PowerSouth operates its hydroelectric dams by this “run-of-the-river” procedure, there is no posted generation schedule.
